Weather Watch: No Jan. 31 Activities

We are closely monitoring the next round of winter weather expected this weekend for our area. Based on the forecast and after consulting with local emergency teams, all extra-curricular activities for Saturday, Jan. 31, have been canceled.

Any decision concerning our Monday school schedule will be shared with families no later than Sunday evening through email/text messages, our websites, social media, and local media stations. If you are not receiving our direct messages, please check your contact information in the Parent Portal.

Congratulations Josie McElhannon! She is our 2026 WBHS STAR student. Josie chose Dr. Ashley Floyd as the 2026  STAR  Teacher! They will be honored by the Barrow Chamber of Commerce in February along with other district  STAR students and teachers.
To be nominated for STAR  , Georgia high school students meet several criteria, including having the highest SAT score at their schools on any single test date through November of their senior year and being in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average.Congratulations Josie McElhannon!
